Brighton on verge of landing Barcelona’s second top-scorer winger – Fabrizio Romano
In a major update by Fabrizio Romano, it is reported that Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati is all set to join Brighton this summer after he finally opened the door to an exit.
As per the report, Brighton are inches away from sealing the deal, as Barça are prepared to accept the loan proposal at hand.
Following a demotion in the pecking order and incessant persuasion by the Blaugrana board to find a rustic retreat for Fati, the youngster has agreed to part ways temporarily.

Green light expected soon
Earlier today, rumors of Tottenham eyeing Fati as a potential Harry Kane alternative were doing the rounds, with the player also showing acceptance of a move to the Lilywhites.
As such, he had even rejected proposals from other major heavyweights, including Sevilla, who were aiming to capitalize on Bori Fati’s desire to see his son play for the Andalusian side.
But the involvement of Brighton in the race for Fati has seen the player take a major U-turn.
Now, instead of joining forces with Tottenham, Fati sees Brighton as a more viable destination, with De Zerbi in particular as one of the driving forces behind the deal.
The coach was reportedly already a huge fan of the player and requested the club sign him following his placement on the market.
With Barça facing a race against time to complete their exit operations and incorporate new signings, the club will be looking to seal the deal as soon as possible.
Barca Universal’s view
The boy who soared to new heights with his achievements, etching indelible marks in the annals of sporting history, is now left chasing the peak from his past.
With growing competition in the Barcelona front line and reduced faith from Xavi, it appears the youngster will not be able to complete his redemption in Catalonia.

However, a change in scenery may be exactly what he needs, especially with Brighton, a club fabled for their faith in youngsters.
The English side have been renowned for putting youthful talents at the heart of their project, and under the direction of a distinguished coach like De Zerbi, the likelihood of Fati regaining his footing is likely to rise.
Considering the deal is set to be a temporary loan, Barca can breathe a sigh of relief knowing the talented youngster can continue his development with the prospect of one day returning to his boyhood club.
